A lot of front yards are quietly wasting water every single day. Old sprinkler systems with outdated nozzles, grass that drinks constantly, and zero automation - it adds up fast on your water bill and your schedule. This homeowner was ready for a change.

We came in and did a full sprinkler system upgrade using Hunter MP rotor nozzles, which are designed to deliver water slowly and evenly so it actually soaks into the ground instead of running off. We also installed a Rachio smart timer, which takes the guesswork out of watering completely. It adjusts automatically based on weather data, so the system isn't running during a rainstorm or blasting the yard on a cool cloudy day.

On top of the irrigation work, we swapped out a section of thirsty turf grass for low-water native plants set into a clean rock groundcover. This is the core of what xeriscaping is all about - using plants that are built for your climate so they don't need constant irrigation to survive. The rock mulch holds moisture, cuts down on weeds, and looks sharp year-round with almost no maintenance required.

What the homeowner ends up with is a yard that runs smarter, not harder. Better water coverage where it counts, plants that can handle the heat without constant babying, and a whole lot less time spent fussing with the hose or adjusting sprinkler heads. It's a practical setup that pays for itself over time.

Whether you're looking at a full xeriscape conversion or just want a more efficient irrigation system, this is the kind of work we do every day. Smarter watering and low-maintenance landscaping aren't just trends - for a lot of homeowners, they're the obvious next step.
